Notes:

  • RS (Residual Sugar) - As a guide only, ‘dry’ is 7.5g/l and under.
  • Wines that retail under $25 are to be entered into classes with no price indication
  • Wines that retail OVER $25 are to be entered into classes that specify ‘OVER $25’
  • Wines will be judged in vintage order, younger before older
  • Classes 7, 11, 12, 13 and 14 will be judged in varietal order
  • Wines in Class 15 (marketed as lower or reduced alcohol) will be judged in their varietal class
  • Over $25 wines will be judged in their varietal class with the under $25 wines
  • The New World Wine Awards Top 50 selection will be taken from under $25 wines only
  • The Premium NZ Selection applies to over $25 wines scoring 95+ points.
